Bordertown v Kybybolite

A very closely contested game. The first quarter saw great passages of play from both teams. The defence made some great turnovers with the goalies shooting accurately.

Half time the scores were level and the game continued with Gorgia Sealey (Kybybolite) controlling the centre, and Lucy Murch (Bordertown) creating turnovers.

Kyby finished the third quarter strongly to be up by two at three quarter time. The game continued to be tight and could go either way.

The final quarter continued going goal for goal with Charlee Hodges (Kybybolite) and Kimberley Langley (Bordertown) shooting well. Bordertown made the most of their turnovers and good team play to come home with the two goal win.

Border Districts v Naracoorte

The intensity of the game started early with both Borders and Naracoorte fighting hard for the ball. Defensive pressure from both ends saw the teams even at quarter time.

In the second quarter Borders were able to take the lead with great drives by Poppy Moyle Read and Amelia Nolan.

Naracoorte made some changes where they came out firing in the third with Belinda Sinclair feeding well into her goalies. Ash Bennier and Sophie Henschke combined well in defence for Naracoorte and were able to peg back some great intercepts which saw Borders only up by two goals at three quarter time.

In the final quarter Borders played with a level head and Della Hannaford took some crucial rebounds under the ring where Borders came away with the win by three.

Keith v Padthaway

Both teams started strong with great defence and accurate shooting.

In the second quarter Keith defence was tight resulting in a few passing errors from Padthaway which Keith was able to capitalise on and lead by 14 at half time.

Keith's goalies lifted the intensity in the last half and were just too strong for Padthaway with Keith winning by 27.

Lucindale v Mundulla

Mundulla came out firing and Lucindale looked like they had had two weeks off, to be eleven all at quarter time.

The second quarter saw the great combination with Meyer and Lane back in goals with Smart and Cane feeding well scoring 20 goals to Mundulla's 10. Heading into the third quarter Mundulla came out strong fighting hard with Danielle shooting the majority of the goals.

Lucindale were too strong and ran away with a big win.
