Willalooka 8/148 def Western Flat 10/122
Impressive bowling helped Willalooka to a 26-run triumph away to Western Flat.
James Alexander helped his side to 8/148 and despite a half-century from Eddie Turner, Western Flat fell short to be all out for 122.
Willalooka recovered from the early wicket of Thomas Moyle-Read for two with a partnership of 51 between Alexander and Daniel Brown.
Alexander top-scored with 32 runs, while the wicket of Brown for 27 with the score at 67 triggered a middle-order collapse as Willalooka lost four wickets for only eight runs.
Will Verco, 16 runs, and Will Secker, 19, helped to steady the ship with a partnership of 39, and Seb Townsend's run-a-ball 25 - including three fours and a six - further increased the total.
Joel Wagg bowled well to take 4/20 and three maidens from his nine overs.
Western Flat's Turner batted well as he made 64 runs at the top of the order, but there was not much support from elsewhere.
Fellow opener Hamish Verco added 16 runs yet wickets fell at a consistent rate.
The match was in the balance when Turner was removed to take the score to 5/103 and aside from the runs of Beau Tink, 13 not out, the Western Flat tail did not wag.
The hosts lost their final five wickets for only four runs to fall short.
Will Verco, Jacob Edwards and Alexander each picked up three wickets for Willalooka.
