A man has died and a woman has been airlifted to Adelaide in a critical condition following a crash last night near Willalooka.
Just after 10.30pm on Thursday, a Holden Jackaroo 4WD travelling south on the Riddoch Highway left the road, rolled and then caught fire, about 5 kilometres south of Willalooka.
A man who was passenger in the vehicle died at the scene, while the driver, a 45-year-old woman from the South East was airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a critical condition.
Major Crash Investigators have attended examining the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The Riddoch Highway was closed to all traffic around the crash site for several hours, but was reopened at 9am when the road was cleared.
The man's death brings the number of lives lost to 87 compared to 101 at the same time last year.
