Driver caught driving more than 70km/h over limit

A Hahndorf man was arrested this afternoon after he was caught speeding, travelling more than 70km/h over the limit.

About 4.20pm on Friday, December 6, a members of the public alerted police to a silver Camry speeding and driving dangerously on the Dukes Highway near Cooke Plains.

The Camry was spotted by an unmarked patrol car speeding and crossing solid barrier lines near the township of KI KI.

Police from Coonalpyn and Limestone Coast intercepted the car about 4.40pm travelling at 184km/h in the 110km/h speed zone on the Dukes Highway, 5km's south-east of Coonalpyn.

The 28-year-old driver was arrested for driving at a speed and manner dangerous and exceeding the speed limit. He was bailed to appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court on January 8, 2020.
