Bordertown OTR to officially open next week

Bordertown will have a Subway restaurant, Krispy Kreme doughnuts and a 24/7 service station when the town's new OTR opens next week.

The new multimillion-dollar development, will create 18 new jobs for the local community, 30 jobs in total, and will operate 24/7.

The store will feature a number of recognisable food brands, including Subway, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, Moe's Dog & Shake, supermarket essentials, as well as renowned OTR brands 'Eat' and 'Chill'.

The Bordertown community, and those driving through, will also be able to try the store's roadhouse meals, locally roasted, barista made C Coffee and freshly squeezed OhJ!.

OTR General Manager, Darryl Cotter said: "The newly built OTR Bordertown store affirms the company's commitment to investing in South Australia."

"We are employing young members of the South Australian community and providing training and career pathways; just one of the reasons why we were recently awarded the 2018 Large Retailer of the Year by the National Retailers Association."

In June 2018, they launched an innovative community program, OTRGive. The program works through the OTR App, by creating a donation to support local causes.

Every time a customer shops or refuels at OTR with the OTR App, OTR makes a donation on the customer's behalf to the community group of their choice - at no cost to the customer.

Donations to the community through OTRGive have exceeded $160,000, with Tatiara based groups expected to benefit from the imitative.

Mr Cotter encouraged Tatiara residents to consider downloading the app, which will "give back" to the community.

"We are encouraging all of our OTR Bordertown customers to download the OTR App to help us give back to the community," Mr Cotter said.

"Customers who download the OTR App will be able to come and try their first regular C Coffee for free and have ongoing access to OTR's Buy 4 get 1 Free Rewards."

He also said they were proud to announce that they'll be building a new playground for the local community and travellers heading into South Australia or across the border over to Victoria.

"The playground will be located on the site where the old OTR store is located, it will be open in time for Christmas," Mr Cotter said.

With the store being completed, OTR are proud to be providing jobs to countless Bordertown locals.

"We are a passionate South Australian family business who are proud to be generating jobs and investing into the community and the future of South Australia," Mr Cotter said.
