The Keith Pony Club held its July rally last Sunday in what was described as "favourable conditions".
All the attendees were excited to get on their horses, with the club celebrating the completion of a new riding arena.
"On Sunday, we celebrated the first time use of our newly built, 'Kids Safe Riding Arena', at the Common," De Kupke said.
A lot of hard work from a number of locals went into making the riding arena a reality, with members thanking them for their contribution.
"A massive thank you goes out to our many contributors, Keith Landmark who donated the gate, hinges and 200m of site wire," De said.
"Thanks to DJ and Riki-lee Applekamp for their donation of an extra 100m wire and Wayne and Karen Sigston, along with the boys who helped erect the arena by putting the posts in.
"Such donations of goods and time from our community are truly appreciated and have helped provide a safe and inclusive environment which aides in our younger members being able to ride safely and independently."
De said with the beginning of a new pony club season, it was great to have four new riders attend last weekend's rally.
The recent rally provided senior riders to practice and prepare themselves for events which will take place over the next month.
"The more senior riders practiced dressage tests for the up and coming zone championships which will be held in Penola on August 18, along with games, trot poles and barrel racing," De said.
De said the rally was a success, with "new friendships, shared ideas and a lot of fun was experienced by all".
