Locals have got behind this year's annual 5TCB 'Radiothon', helping them raise a record amount of funds during the event which ran from May 22-24.
5TCB radio station manager Sardia 'Scad' Kakoschke said the event officially raised $15,500, partly putting it down to this year's shortened event.
"We wanted to shorten it and create as much buzz as possible within that time and show how 5TCB helps connect the towns it broadcasts to," Scad said.
"We also really focused on volunteer week and took a more focused approach on how many organisations are out there that provide for their community, as well as what our own volunteers do."
The event also showcased how well many of the station's volunteers worked together, with the presenters whose shows weren't in this year's 'Radiothon' teaming up with fellow presenters.
It wasn't just the station who praised the new format, the feedback from the community has been nothing but positive.
"The feedback from the community was amazing, not just the donations but words of encouragement and support," Scad said.
"It's great to know that our service is valued and it only inspires us to keep doing the best we can, as well as working on some new ideas to help improve the service."
All the money that was donated to 5TCB over the event will go directly back into the station, allowing them to continue providing the Tatiara with a high quality service.
The event relies heavily on the men and women who volunteer their time to the station, an environment Scad is proud to be a part of.
"All the volunteers are amazing, I'm so thankful for all the work they do around the station. They are the reason I love this community," Scad said.
"I also need to thank all the businesses for their kind donations and sponsorship. You help us connect with the community 365 days of the year and give the local area a voice.
"You all help us become part of so many people's lives. I am thankful that I get to work with friends and help promote this community."
