Big plans from the new President of Women’s Wellness Group

Bordertown local Hayley Harding has been elected President of the Women’s Wellness Group for the second year in a row, and this year she’s committed to making the organisation the best it can be.

“I have great visions and big plans to continue the growth of the WWG, and we are expanding it into the Bordertown, Kaniva, Western Victoria and Keith region,” Hayley said.

“I am honoured and proud to be taking on the role of President for the Women’s Wellness Group.

“I have been helping people in my own business for the last four and a half years, so the group’s ethics align with my own moral compass of helping people reach their full potential, their health goals, and inspiring others to be great.”

Hayley moved to the region with her husband in 2016, and joined the Women’s Wellness Committee soon afterwards.

With Hayley at the helm, the Committee has decided to hold a drought relief fundraiser in August, with tickets on sale now.

Other events that Hayley and the Women’s Wellness Group are currently planning include a Baby and Children’s Expo for later in the year, and guest speakers visiting the region.

The Baby and Children’s Expo will have a multitude of information for parents and parents-to-be, with vendors and workshops focused on health, such as sleep consultants; chiropractors; dental hygienists; mental health practitioners; and community and district medical services.

There will also be the opportunity for guests at the Expo to find out more about play groups, childcare services, and children’s activities in the community.

A Family Fun Day during the warmer seasons is currently being workshopped within group, and guest speakers the organisation is liaising with are Constance Hall and Taryn Brumfitt.

“I am excited and full of passion, as is the entire committee!” Hayley said warmly.

“We are committed to continuing the great success of Women’s Wellness with lifting people up and helping people see their true potential.”

The Women’s Wellness Group has been running for six years, with key founding members being Kathy Gailbraith, Annie Borg and Karen Gillespie.

At the group’s AGM on August 5 at Henry’s Drive in Padthaway, as well as Hayley being re-elected President, Brianna Crisp was made Treasurer, Ashleigh Ciampa was made Secretary, and Kara Dodson and Tahnee Span are Social Media and Membership Officers.
