The Bordertown Gumtree Quilters have donated a total of $1620 to the Royal Flying Doctors Service.

The money was raised through a 2017 exhibition raffle held over an October weekend last year.

It was the 11th total exhibition for the group to date.

The RFDS Tatiara support group president Grid Hubl thanked the group for their continuous support, and said they highly appreciate the community donations for the vital work of the RFDS.

Ms Hubl mentioned they had nine planes to outfit, at a cost of $7 million per plane, meaning that fundraising had to be continually ongoing.

Gumtree Quilters will be holding their AGM on May 24, and even though the group has a membership total of 45 quilters, new members are always welcome.

Cockatoo Downs is the venue for the group's annual weekend retreat, which will be held on May 25-27.
