Police have arrested two men and a woman in connection with the death of a Murray Bridge woman on February 4.
A 43-year-old man who had been the target of an extensive police search in Murray Bridge during the week was found on Friday night in Doveton, Victoria, a southeastern suburb of Melbourne.
Police patrols, STAR group officers and detectives from the the Murray Mallee local service area’s criminal investigation branch had visited more than 110 Murraylands properties looking for the man, and had used dogs and boats to search along Murray Bridge’s riverfront.
Police will allege he escaped the net with the help of a 49-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman from Murray Bridge, who were also arrested.
None resisted arrest when Victorian police found them at a Doveton home.
Officers from SA Police’s major crime investigation branch have travelled to Victoria to apply for the trio to be extradited back to South Australia so they can face charges.
They will appear in the Dandenong Magistrates Court on Monday.
SA Police thanked the Murray Bridge community for cooperating with the investigation, and especially people who had passed on information through Crime Stoppers.
