The Bordertown community is set to benefit from the Australian Government’s investment in local roads, with $75,000 on the way for Ramsay Terrace upgrades.
Federal Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Darren Chester said the Australian Government is committed to improving local roads throughout South Australia under the Roads to Recovery program.
“This project is a fantastic example of how communities are benefitting from the repair and upgrade of critical local roads,” Mr Chester said.
Federal Member for Barker Tony Pasin said local motorists would welcome the upgrades which will see Ramsay Terrace being widened and reconstructed.
“The Roads to Recovery funding for Ramsay Terrace will greatly assist the council to complete this important upgrade,” he said.
“The Coalition is committed to investing in our regional road infrastructure.”
Mayor Graham Excell said the Roads to Recovery funding had been used to deliver a range of projects within the region.
“This funding allows us to deliver upgrades to our local roads,” Mayor Excell said.
The Australian Government has committed $75,000 to the $150,000 project.
