The team at Ray White Bordertown are once again getting behind the Tree of Hope motorbike and car run to support those within the Tatiara who might fall on hard times as the festive season approaches.

Yes Christmas time is fast approaching again, and while we are all preparing our Christmas menus, gift buying and organising holidays, there are families in our community who dread this time of the year with financial, family and work worries.

Because every child deserves to smile at Christmas time, Ray White Bordertown for the third year running are combining with the Bordertown Rotary Club to support a local organisation.

The Tree of Hope motorbike and car run takes locals on a mystery ride across the South East and is organised annually by locals Katrina Pretlove, Jimmy Featherston and Cynthia Ward.

The aim of the day is to support those within the Tatiara who might have fallen on tough times in the lead up to the festive period.

The annual bike and car run will be held on November 18, with all participants gathering at Caltex Roadhouse at 9am for registrations, to be ready to leave by 10am. All bikes and cars are welcome.

If you are unable to participate in the ride, you are welcome to come along and see the riders off: and hear them. While you’re there, gifts or donations can be left at the registration point.

Of course there will also be two collection points for gifts again this year: the usual at the big Christmas Tree in Foodland, and of course the Ray White Office in Woolshed Street.

Tags will be available on the trees with gender and age of the child, so grab a tag, buy a gift, and wrap it and return it to our tree, or drop it in and we will be happy to wrap it for you.

If you don’t have time to buy a gift, but would still like to contribute, donations can be made to go towards extra gifts, food hampers or for emergency relief during the year.

All gifts purchased and money raised goes to benefit local families, and we’ll make sure anything you drop in will get to those who need it. And remember….We’re Doing It For The Kids. Merry Christmas to you all.
