With the October long weekend rapidly approaching, the Western Flat Community Sport and Recreation Centre is gearing up for another spectacular fireworks display.
In their 23rd year, the fireworks are tipped to be as impressive as ever thanks to a bigger and better display.
Gates open at 6pm with fireworks to start later when it gets dark and expected to run for over 10 minutes. Cost for the night is just $20 per family, with free sparklers available for the children as well as glow bands for sale.
People will be able to sit back and relax with some great food which includes the all time crowd favourite hot donuts. Hot chips, turkey burgers, steak sandwiches, sausages and drinks are also available with full bar facilities as well. There is strictly no BYO, however picnic rugs and chairs are welcome and encouraged.
This is the one and only fundraiser for Western Flat and promises to be a huge event with around 600 people expected to attend.
Western Flat Community Sport and Recreation Centre Secretary Monique Moore believes it is great value for money.
“It is amazing value for a family night out, make sure you leave your phones and tablets at home and enjoy the entertainment,” said Monique.
The two jumping castles, which have been a crowd favourite over the last couple of years, will once again be available for kids to use on the night.
Howard and Sons Pyrotechnics have been along every year to coordinate the spectacular evening and will be back.
There will be music accompanying the firework display.
