Tatiara citizens shine

18 Jan, 2012 11:42 AM
THE Tatiara district’s most commendable citizens and events will be recognised at the Australia Day ceremony on January 26.

Marjorie Badman (Bordertown), Tracey Grosser (Bordertown) and Winsome Hunt (Keith) have been announced the Citizens of the Year for the Tatiara, with Amy Penniment being named Youth Citizen of the Year.

The Rotary Club of Bordertown “Blokes Night In” and the Andy Caldecott memorial unveiling have been named the Community Events of the Year.

Winsome has been recognised for many efforts as a volunteer, including her 11 years of volunteer service to the Keith and District Hospital in association with the Uniting Church in Keith.

She started at the hospital due to her husband recommending her for the volunteer position through their local church.
