Regional arts funding

TWO Tatiara art groups have received a combined grant to participate in classes led by prominent artist Lorraine Lewitzka.

The Tatiara Palette Painters and Keith Art Group received a Federal Government Regional Arts Fund grant of $1150 through the initiative of Tatiara Palette Painters president Gwen Colwill.

The grant has helped to fund the weekend water colour painting classes, led by Ms Lewitzka.

Ms Lewitzka worked as a fashion and illustrative artist in the late 1960s, starting watercolour painting with Marjorie Hann in 1985.

The classes will be held at Pendleton farm on the weekend of May 19-20, with registered members of the palette painters and art group.

Gwen said the two day course would concentrate on water colour painting techniques, while capturing historical images around the Tatiara.
