Outstanding students

18 Jan, 2012 12:52 PM
TWO Tatiara students have been named in the State’s top overall Year 12 students, receiving a Governor of South Australian SACE Award.

The local graduates are two of six regional SA students recognised for outstanding achievement in Year 12 subjects and in the qualities young people need for community life, citizenship and work.

Both Ryan and Kirsten will join the 104 students who achieved a subject merit at the SACE Merit Ceremony at Government House on February 14 to receive their merit. Ryan said he found out about his achievement two days after the results came out for Year 12.

He said: “I was pretty surprised, I didn’t think I had done that well compared to the rest of the State...I guess I did try pretty hard.”
