LAWN bowler Michael Lowrie will head to Victoria to compete in the Australian Open Lawn Bowls Tournament in the “athletes with a disability” category.
Michael will travel with SA female competitor Sandra Hall to Darebin for their games on February 22-25.
Michael has now played in the tournament four years in a row, finishing last year’s tournament with a silver medal.
“This year it will be gold for me, I’ve always been one shot below it, always missed out by one shot, but that one shot will be in my favour this year,” said Michael confidently.
In order to participate in this year’s tournament, Michael went to Adelaide for State selection which holds one position for a male and female.
