COORONG and Tatiara Council landholders are fortunate to have the opportunity to attend a Water Security Forum at Tintinara, being the first of its kind in the state.
The free, day long forum, to be held at the Tintinara Hall on February 29, is the brainchild of innovative Coorong
Tatiara Local Action Plan (LAP) officers who are keenly aware of the impact of the rising price of water on livestock production in their area and across the state.
Coorong and Tatiara District councils, the South East Northern Natural Resource Management Group and the South Australian Murray Darling Natural Resource Management Board are also supporting the event.
Local Action Plan Implementation Officer Tracey Strugnell said the steep rise in the cost of mains water which is likely to keep rising, creates a huge cost to livestock producers who depend on the water supply.
